We’ve been at the forefront of baritones for over 20 years - from our Sidejack Baritone to the top selling Rivolta Mondata Baritone  and everything in between.
However, we’ve always taken guitars and scaled them lower to become baritones.

The huge popularity of the Hooky Bass 6 PRO got us thinking, what if we go at this from the other direction - take a Bass 6 and scale it up to the baritone range? What would that sound like? The answer is ‘it sounds fantastic and different from any other baritone we’ve ever made’!

The most important element of the Hooky Baritone PRO, and the one that we’re most excited about, is that it gives you a new sonic platform to experiment with and create your own unique sound. With its wider fretboard and ‘substantial’ feel, it’s well suited to precision playing and has an exceptionally defined platform to build your sound from with single note articulation unlike anything else we’ve experienced.

Use it clean and it can take you into beautifully lush sonic territories with a sound all of its own. Use it dirty and a similar uniqueness is notable…we’d describe the sound as ‘tight’. It’ll handle Tic-Tac/Octave Up bass parts, as well as complex chords while maintaining clarity and definition.

Peter Hook’s bass playing with New Order and Joy Division is legendary and we paid homage to his Shergold Bass 6 with our Hooky Bass 6 PRO, the most accurate reproduction since it was retired in the 1970’s. We now wanted to add a new element to the story and pair that sound with our baritone know how. Introducing, the Hooky Baritone PRO!
